Named in honor of my grandmother, Eleanor, this three-acre vineyard is located in the heart of the Walla Walla Valley. Planted in 2006 with two acres of Cabernet Sauvignon and one acre of Merlot, the vineyard's southwestern slope enables long exposure to sunlight, producing rich, complex and supple fruit. It is this small, meticulously tended vineyard, along with a limited amount of Octave Vineyard fruit, from which Eleanor's Estate wine is produced.

This higher elevation Cab also receives the warmer air due to the Walla Walla Inversions. The Cab varietal reacts slightly different then the merlot by exhibiting some earthy qualities followed by the balanced viscous fruit. This isn’t your over macerated giant bodied style of Cab that can sometimes mask the beautiful flavors and aromas, instead you get the natural components of the varietal.
