We are fifth generation Yakima Valley fruit growers. Gilbert Cellars is our way to both honor our family’s legacy and put our own stamp on the Valley we call home. We believe that what we’re doing matters—creating wines that celebrate the terroir we love. And through hosting tastings, dinners and special events, we’re not just creating wine, but fostering a community.
At day’s end, our joy comes from a meal at home on the patio, candles lit and conversation flowing (perhaps enhanced by a lovely Riesling or Cabernet Sauvignon). We share stories of our day, the world around us, and often about where we come from. Did you know we even have our own geological landmark? 8,200-foot Gilbert Peak, part of the Cascade mountain range, is named for Curtiss R. Gilbert, grandfather of our winery co-founder, Curtiss M., and great grandfather to some of the rest of us.

Two Vintners was founded in 2007 with a partnership between an acclaimed young winemaker, Morgan Lee, and the owners of Covington Cellars, David and Cindy Lawson. At the time, Syrah and Merlot were the outcast varietals of the wine industry. However, the quiet secret among those in the Washington wine scene was that they are two of the best varietals the state had to offer. Thumbing our nose to those unfortunate trends created the foundation of the Two Vintners label. This willingness to do the unpopular but delicious has guided the brand as we have progressed, this has helped us create wines that you won’t see anywhere else.

Wine at Two Vintners is about the experience. Branching out. Trying new styles. New varietals. We want to expose you to wines that show how unique Washington wine can be. Our goal is to make a wine that you want to share with your friends and family. We want our wine to be shared, experienced, and accessible to all, something special that everyone will enjoy.

Our own-rooted vines have a purity of expression of the vine and the soil. The unique flavors and structure of DuBrul grapes have inspired a plethora of vineyard designated wines over the years. Expressing this sense of place is the mission of Côte Bonneville.
DuBrul Vineyard is consistently recognized as one of the top vineyards in Washington State. The vineyard has been honored with the award of Vineyard of the Year in 2007 and again in 2009. DuBrul Vineyard designated wines, from Côte Bonneville and others, have consistently been well received by critics and sought after by consumers world wide.
