Owners and winemakers Scott and Margaret Fivash got their introduction to the wine industry through Washington CEO magazine. ey owned and operated Washington CEO for more than fteen years, and the magazine often featured local wineries and the wine industry. In 2005 and 2006, Washington CEO featured a blind judging of the “Best of Washington Wines,” with over 50 percent of the wines that made the list from Walla Walla.
With their children now out on their own, in April 2006, Scott and Margaret ran away from home to learn more about the wine industry that they had become so passionate about. After commuting between Walla Walla and Seattle for six months to work on Washington CEO, Scott sold the magazine and jumped into the wine business with both feet. While in Walla Walla, Margaret studied at the WWCC Institute for Enology and Viticulture, Scott attended the UC Davis Wine Executive Program, and they both worked at various wineries in the area. ey made their rst wine in 2006.
